BIoImageViewer - a portable picture viewer

BIoImageViewer is a portable freeware picture viewer for Windows operating system developed to display graphic files, especially digital photos.

BIoImageViewer supports the following graphic formats: *.bmp, *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.gif, *.png, *.svg, *.tif, *.tiff, *.wmf, *.emf, *.ico.

The computer running BIoImageViewer must meet the following requirements:

Operating System: Microsoft^® Windows^® 7 or above required.
Monitor: Full HD or higher resolution recommended.
Installed components: WinZip^® or an equivalent archiving tool required.

BIoImageViewer possesses a number of unique features not found in other comparable tools:

BIoImageViewer enables to create on-screen description for images with modifiable font properties (font-family, -size, -weight -color, -style, etc.), transparent or opaque background and adjustable background color in case of opaque background. The image description can be displayed optionally on a right-mouse click or constantly visible in foreground.

The examples below illustrate how BIoImageViewer displays descriptions on the screen:

BIoImageViewer allows to display images with adjustable distortion grade providing a full-screen view of the images whose width-to-height proportion slightly differs from the screen proportion. Due to this difference, two black bars may appear at the top and bottom of the screen, as shown below left. BIoImageViewer allows to remove this bars with an imperceptible picture distortion, as shown below right:

BIoImageViewer can be saved on a flash memory data storage device, such as USB flash drive. Unlike other similar tools, which upon installation bind themselves strictly to a specific computer by registering in the system database (Windows registry), BIoImageViewer uses a simple installing procedure unzip 'n' run. This provides you an excellent opportunity to have the tool always along with you on a flash drive. Thus, while traveling, you will be able to display images stored either on your flash drive or a host computer.

It enables preview-supported image selection.
It enables full-screen displaying of images with automatically hidden Windows task bar.
It enables automatic advance of images within a directory with hidden mouse pointer, adjustable time interval between images and optional auto-repeat.
It fits to the screen large images; displays small images optionally in its natural size or fitted to the screen.
It shows picture filename optionally on right mouse click or constantly visible in foreground.
It allows to use a portion of the screen for displaying images (up to 25% of full-screen size).
It is provided with the ToolTips, What's This and Contextual Help.

How to get BIoImageViewer ?

The latest version 5.25 of BIoImageViewer is available for free download as a ZIP-archive. Click BIoImageViewer525.zip to download the installation package (99 Mb). Refer to BIoImageViewer_ReadMe.pdf (also included into the installation package) for installation instruction as well as for more information about BIoImageViewer.

Importent

For security reasons Windows usually blocks downloaded executable file BIoImageViewer525.exe and help file BIoImageViewer.chm. To unblock the files after unpacking follow these steps:

Right-click the file and select Properties.
On the General tab, look for an Unblock button or checkbox near the bottom.
Click Unblock, then click Apply and OK.
